Our Story: A Simple Conversation, A Big Spark
It started with a conversation over ice cream. Post-pandemic, Joyce and Mariflor were talking about doing something small and meaningful — maybe a ‘tiangge’-style event at their church, six vendors, nothing fancy. Friends got excited. The idea grew.
What began as a small indoor fundraiser became the first Fil-Am Spring Fest in 2023 — 28 vendors, and over 1,000 people showed up on a day they’d prayed for 500. Proceeds supported ultra-poor families in the Philippines through International Care Ministries.
The event kept growing — 2024 brought 60+ vendors and 5,000 attendees. That’s when the founders knew it was time to formalize. On September 19, 2024, Fil-Am FEST Inc. was born.
By 2025, Fil-Am Spring Fest drew an estimated 25,000 people to Fair Oaks Mall — built entirely by volunteers, and still growing.
In 2026, the festival reached new heights: 141 vendors — small businesses, community organizations, and even federal and county departments — came together, with 15,000+ attendees joining in the celebration.
None of this would have been possible without the people behind the scenes. Fil-Am FEST Inc. is completely volunteer-driven — built by hands and hearts that serve out of love for God and others.
